Dr. David Porter, retired CMSgt tubist, The United States Air Force Band, Washington, D.C. is a graduate of Tennessee Tech University, University of New Mexico, and George Mason University, Fairfax, Virginia (GMU) and is Adjunct Brass Faculty at GMU.  He is also an active freelance musician, acting as Principal Tuba of the Tysons McLean Orchestra, faculty at the Masterworks Festival, and a private studio instructor.
